About Hagerstown Home Store

Hagerstown Home Store is a homebuyer education and counseling program, operated by Hagerstown Neighborhood Development Partnership, Inc. We are a community-based nonprofit organization that provides:

  • Pre-purchase and Post purchase education including assistance with creating a budget.
  • Fair Housing information and consultations
  • Lead paint information for homebuyers, renters, and landlords
  • Landlord and Tenant rights and responsibilities information and consultations
  • Federally assisted housing resources and referrals

The Hagerstown Home Store was designated as a HUD-certified housing counseling agency in 2006.

The Hagerstown Home Store supports the City of Hagerstown ‘s Homeownership Initiative, with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), the State of Maryland, and the City of Hagerstown, as well as other sources.

From I-70:

Take I-70 to Exit 32B, to Route 40 West/Hagerstown (Dual Highway). Go approximately 3 miles; road “forks” into a two-lane one-way street and becomes East Franklin Street, after McDonald’s and KFC. Continue through the next 3 lights, crossing Cannon, Mulberry and Locust Streets. Stay left.
The Hagerstown Home Store is on the left side, ground level, with prominently displayed signs. Turn left at mid-block into the Central Parking Lot, just before our building. Or, continue on Franklin Street, turn left on Potomac Street at City Hall, and park in the public garage on the right side of the street.

From I-81:

Take Exit 6 toward Hagerstown. Follow Route 40 (now West Washington Street) approximately 2 miles to Downtown. Cross Potomac Street. At mid-block, turn left into the Central Parking Lot and park. Walk through the lot onto Franklin Street; turn left. Hagerstown Home Store is immediately on the left.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors meets monthly on the third Wednesday at 2 pm. Meetings are open to the public 21 E. Franklin Street workshop room.
